Department of Pharmaceutics

Department of Pharmaceutics has been actively involved in improving the theoretical and practical skills of the students at the diploma and degree level. The subject areas in the department are – Pharmaceutics, Community Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy, and Biopharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics. The department has four laboratory for undergraduates. The department is well equipped with sophisticated instruments and machinery to get a research requirements of students such as tablet punching machine, Rota evaporator, spray dryer, dissolution testing unit, all glass water distillation unit, autoclave, bulk density apparatus, tablet friability apparatus, magnetic stirrer with hot plate. 

Department of Pharmacology

Pharmacology is a unique and dynamic branch of pharmacy, since it involves the understanding of how a drug deals with the human body and how the human body responds to the drug. The department is well equipped with wide range of state of art instruments including hot plate. 

Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

The department of Pharmaceutical chemistry is one of the four core departments. The department supports the academic requirements for students pursuing a four year bachelor of pharmacy course and two year diploma in pharmacy course of Aryabhatta Knowledge University. Three laboratories namely the pharmaceutical Analysis Lab, Pharmaceutical chemistry lab and Quality Assurance & Quality Control Lab with excellent working facilities are equipped with necessary infrastructure to provide practical training to degree and diploma students.

Department of Pharmacognosy & Phytomedicine

The pharmacognosy department deals with study of drugs derived from plants, animals and minerals sources. The faculties of the department have expertise in various areas of herbal research. The department has two big labs equipped with all necessary facilities to execute isolation, identification and interpretation of medicinally potential plant candidates. Department have well established herbal garden with more than 100 medicinal herbs and plants.
